We recognise we cannot tackle severe human rights abuses in our supply chains alone, which is why we work with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve positive impact for workers. We participate in the Seafood Ethics Action Alliance, which provides a platform for businesses to work together to share information on emerging issues and agree solutions.
Sainsbury’s was founded in 1869 and today operates over 1,000 supermarkets and convenience stores and employs around 150,000 colleagues.
