Catch up with the SEA Alliance HRDD webinar that took place on 19 January 2023.

The Seafood Ethics Action (SEA) Alliance has created the Anchoring Due Diligence six-part webinar series to provide support and guidance for seafood businesses. This is an integral part of the SEA Alliance’s aim to increase alignment on effective due diligence processes, and increase the implementation of impactful approaches to address human rights risks.

The fourth webinar in the series took place on Thursday 19 January 2023. This webinar looked at worker engagement in seafood supply chains. This explained what worker engagement is, and why it is important for businesses in terms of benefits and efficiencies to be gained. It covered the essential elements and basis for worker engagement, and the safeguards that need to be put in place. As well as covering how to evaluate the effectiveness of worker engagement programmes, and how it informs a Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) process.
